Criminal neglect charges filed against Wheatland dog breeder
A Cass County dog breeder is facing six criminal charges of animal neglect following the seizure of about 170 of his dogs from an apparent puppy mill operation at his home near Wheatland.
Anderson County Council to hold meeting Thursday to discuss puppy mill ordinance
Anderson County Council (South Carolina) will hold an Ad Hoc meeting on Thursday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the courthouse, where they'll discuss a new puppy mill ordinance, Fox Carolina reported August 27.

Channel 13 reported on Debra Pratt’s breeding facility in May. It received numerous fines for violations ranging from neglect to failure to provide veterinary care. Pratt must pay a $7,200 fine – one of the largest in Iowa history – and relinquish her license for three years.
