In North Carolina, overwhelming support for puppy-mill rules
A growing movement to end puppy mills has been sweeping the country, and it has landed in North Carolina, where an effort to enact common sense legislation to regulate the state’s commercial dog breeding facilities has taken hold.
Puppy mill owners charged with 723 counts of animal cruelty receive no jail time
Back in November, more than 240 dogs were removed from a puppy mill in Maplewood, Ohio. A total of 723 counts of animal cruelty had been filed. Yet the judge ordered the three to complete mental evaluations and pay fines. They are not allowed to own animals for two years.

My daughter runs a rescue for very large dogs some find homes and some she just keep taking of them. # 3 of them have missing legs. One had been almost killed with battery acid. hunger,sick dogs, old dogs some never find a home. A lot of this was cause by puppy mills and letting the wrong people own. dogs. She spends 3 hours a day driving to work to pay for all of this. Puppy mill people need harsh sentence to make them stop.

really just two years,they should be locked up with no food,& water to see how they like it.
Sadly a lot of these puppy mill puppies end up at animal shelters and are never adopted out. UNFORTUNATELY there are also shelters that still kill. I know someone who is a volunteer at the local animal shelter, His shelter is a KILL FACILITY and in a two week period they KILLED, USING A GAS CHAMBER and then hauled the bodies to the local dump, OVER ONE TON of animals. They were thrown away in garbage bags like daily trash. These beautiful and loving animals were just gassed and thrown away. To me THIS IS SICKENING. For one the gas chambers are cruel and unusual punishment to these poor animals just for being born. Second they should be OUTLAWED EVERYWHERE. And third these poor animals bodies should have been cremated not put in black garbage bags and when they have too many just hauled to the county dump. ALL UNWANTED AND DISCARDED ANIMALS HAVE ALREADY SUFFERED ENOUGH. The least we can do as humans is to make the end of their life come with DIGNITY AND LOVE, AND NOT DISCARD THEM WITH THE TRASH. Euthanize with a needle and quick acting medicine and CREAMATE THEIR BODIES DON'T THROW THEM IN THE DUMP. Plus this shelter does not give all animals time to be adopted, if they are big they only give them a few days and Pitt Bulls RARELY GET A CHANCE TO EVEN BE SEEN. Never in my life have I been so discussed with the state of Utah and its counties as I am hearing that this kind of crap still goes on.

I have blood cancer, I worked all my life, and now I am on social security disability. Is there any pro bono vets out there that can help me? SHE IS IN SO MUCH PAIN!!! SHE CANT WALK!!!! The first part didnt come thru. I bought a Newphi on the internet. She blew her ACL in her right knee in 04/2012, at 3 years old, it cost 4 grand to fix. She was sold with a naval hernia, I had her fixed, & at that time I was advised of the hernia & had it fixed. BUT three years later she had an ACL in her right knee, 04/2012, then one year later, another ACL in her left knee, 03/2013. I dont have money, I have blood cancer, on SS disability, my dog is in SO MUCH PAIN, CAN'T WALK... Please PRO BONO VET HELP US!!! PLEASE HELP US!! 773-857-6069. I have admin. experience for trade..
